Team Kearny

<p>Kearny is a beautiful town, and as elected officials, it's our job to make sure that everyone can experience it. Team Kearny already created the town's first Hispanic Heritage celebration, Movie Nights in the Park, and supported the new Hispanic Senior Club.</p><p>We're working to make sure families, seniors, and young people have year-round programming that reflects our community.</p><p>What we'll do:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Expand senior services</strong> and host more events and activities</p></li><li><p><strong>Create town-sponsored adult and youth recreation</strong> programs, including arts, STEM, and activities for all ages</p></li><li><p><strong>Create</strong> <strong>year-round cultural programming</strong> to celebrate Kearny's diverse communities</p></li><li><p><strong>Bring more family events</strong> to our parks year-round</p></li></ul>

<p>Team Kearny created the town's first Hispanic Heritage celebration, expanded Movie Nights in the Park, and supported the new Hispanic Senior Club.</p><p>Kearny's families, seniors, and young people deserve year-round programming that reflects our community.</p>

<p>Team Kearny already passed e-bike safety regulations that became a model for other towns, increased parking permits, and led the Midland Ave. streetscape redesign to help Kearny's small business community.</p><p>We're working to make sure every neighborhood has streets that are safe, well-maintained, and work for everyone.</p><p>What we'll do:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Improve crosswalks, signage, and speed humps</strong> near schools, parks, and daycares</p></li><li><p><strong>Re-pave roads</strong>, replace lead service lines, and improve parking with a neighborhood-by-neighborhood approach</p></li><li><p><strong>Support first responders</strong> in the police and fire departments</p></li><li><p><strong>Enforce snow removal</strong> so families aren't stuck walking in the street after a storm</p></li><li><p><strong>Invest in updated parks</strong> and public spaces in every ward</p></li><li><p><strong>Expand tree planting and green infrastructure</strong> for safer, healthier neighborhoods</p></li></ul>
